AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn men’s tennis is set to compete in the ITA South Sectional Championships, held Thursday through Sunday at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Georgia. The event serves as a qualifier for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships, which will take place at the end of the fall schedule.
Billy Blaydes and Hamza Nasridinov will compete in singles, while the doubles teams of Billy and Freddy Blaydes and Joey Phillips and Nicholas Heng will also represent the Tigers.
Nasridinov has put together an impressive fall season in singles, posting a 10-1 record. Phillips and Heng also found success as a doubles pair at the ITA Southern Regionals last month, reaching the semifinals after three consecutive wins.
