AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn junior Anna Davis and freshman Charlotte Cantonis each received weekly honors from the SEC, the conference announced Wednesday. Davis was named SEC Co-Player of the Week, while Cantonis earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors.

Davis earned her second SEC Player of the Week honor of the season after being named co-champion at The Nanea Invitational for her second individual victory in as many tournaments. The Spring Valley, California, native shot 10-under 209, highlighted by an opening-round 66 (-7). Davis carded 15 birdies over three rounds and led the field in par-5 scoring at 8-under.

Cantonis was named SEC Freshman of the Week after earning her first top-five finish of the season at The Nanea Invitational. The Auburn freshman shot 8-under 211, highlighted by a bogey-free 65 (-8) in the first round. Cantonis was the highest-finishing freshman in the event.

Davis and Cantonis’ performances helped lead Auburn to a third-place team finish at 21-under 855. Both Tigers also contributed to the team’s opening round of 271 (-21), which set a program record for lowest round relative to par.
