AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn baseball and head coach Butch Thompson announced Friday the Tigers’ non-conference opponents to complete the team’s 2026 schedule.
Along with the Southeastern Conference schedule that was announced earlier this fall, the non-conference slate includes matchups with six NCAA Tournament teams from 2025.
Coming off the first home super regional in program history, Auburn opens the 2026 campaign at Plainsman Park for the fourth straight season and 11th time in the last 12 years, hosting Youngstown State from Feb. 13-15 before welcoming Cincinnati for its first midweek on Feb. 17.
The Tigers hit the road for the first time from Feb. 20-22 to compete in the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series for the second straight year and third time since 2022, taking on three tournament teams from a year ago in Kansas State, Florida State and Louisville.
Auburn returns to the Plains for nine home games in a two-week span prior to the start of SEC play. The stretch starts with a Feb. 25 matchup vs. West Georgia before hosting Nebraska for the first time in program history from Feb. 27-Mar. 1. In-state foe Samford comes to town on Mar. 3 before the final non-conference series vs. Winthrop from Mar. 6-8. The first of a home-and-home midweek against UAB on Mar. 10 wraps up the nine games prior to the start of conference play.
With SEC play in full swing for the rest of the season, the Tigers’ remaining non-conference schedule is highlighted by a home-and-home midweek series against defending Atlantic Coast Conference champ Georgia Tech (Mar. 17 in Auburn; Mar. 31 in Atlanta).
The schedule also includes a neutral-site matchup with South Alabama at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery (Mar. 24), back-to-back home midweeks against Jacksonville State (Apr. 7) and Alabama State (Apr. 14) and three straight road midweeks at Samford (Apr. 21), UAB (May 5) and Jacksonville State (May 12).
