LEXINGTON, Ky. — Following the best season of her young career, Auburn sophomore Lauren Dreves was named AVCA First Team All-South Region, the association announced Tuesday.
Dreves, the Vancouver, Washington native, was already awarded First Team All-SEC following career highs in kills (376), kills per set (3.80), hitting percentage (.268), blocks per set (0.65) and points per set (4.25).
Twenty-four times throughout the season, Dreves reached double digits in kills, including three 20-kill efforts. She set a career-high 24 kills in a five-set battle with LSU on the last day of the regular season. Her 3.80 kills per set ranks second all-time in single-season Auburn history.
Dreves earned SEC Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 29 after producing 14 kills with four digs on .244 hitting in a three-set sweep over in-state rival Alabama. Two days later against Mississippi State, Dreves delivered 15 kills on her 40 swings with zero errors. With 13 digs, she tallied her third double-double as well as a career-high six blocks.
The award marks the first All-South Region selection for the Tigers since 2023 and the fourth student-athlete under head coach Brent Crouch. Crouch has now guided eight players to all-region accolades across his 11-year coaching career.
