AUBURN, Ala.  — Jack Burton, who enters his fourth season on Auburn Volleyball’s staff, has been promoted to associate head coach, head coach Brent Crouch announced Tuesday.

“Jack has been an integral part of our success here,” said Crouch. “His commitment to our student-athletes and attention to detail have been second to none. We continue to make strides year after year, and there is no question we wouldn’t be where we are as a program today without his leadership.”

In three seasons on the Plains, Burton has helped Auburn to a 51-34 and the Tigers’ third-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament in 2023.

“I want to sincerely thank Brent Crouch for his trust, mentorship, and leadership, as well as our administration for their continued support of our program,” said Burton. “I’m also thankful for our outstanding volleyball staff. Working alongside such committed, talented people makes Auburn an incredibly special place.

“Most importantly, I’m grateful for our student-athletes, whose work ethic, belief and commitment are what make this program thrive. I truly believe in the direction of Auburn Volleyball and am excited about the continued growth and success of this program moving forward. WAR EAGLE!”

Arriving in the spring of 2023, Burton’s guidance has helped the Tigers’ offense reach new heights. Last season, Auburn set a single-season program record with a .248 hitting percentage.

On the defensive side of the ball, the 2025 edition of the Tigers also etched their name in program history with Burton’s help. Aiding Auburn’s approach, the Tigers averaged a resounding 2.71 blocks per set, the most in single season.
