STILLWATER, Okla. – No. 4 Auburn women’s tennis has been awarded a victory over No. 8 Oklahoma State after the match originally scheduled for Friday evening was declared a default by the Cowgirls, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Thursday.

“We’re obviously disappointed that we won’t have the opportunity to play Oklahoma State after making the trip,” Auburn head coach Jordan Szabo said. “We’ve had a couple of great practices already here in Stillwater and were really excited to face our first top-10 opponent of the season. Now our focus shifts to preparing for our next match against Michigan on Monday.”

With the win, Auburn improves to 10-0 on the season and takes the lead in the all-time series with Oklahoma State, 4-3.

Auburn will face No. 13 Michigan at the Varsity Tennis Center on Monday at 5 p.m. CT in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
