Daniel Carlson drained a career-long game winner and reached a career milestone in Las Vegas, while Tank Bigsby found the end zone for the second time in the last three weeks, and Derrick Brown led the Panthers and registered a career high in tackles in the final week of the regular season.
That and more on this week’s Auburn Made NFL Rundown.
Tank Bigsby, RB, Philadelphia Eagles
Bigsby made the most of his first start with the Eagles, scoring his second touchdown of the year, both coming in the last three weeks. The third-year back ran it in from two yards out to give the Eagles the lead late in the third quarter. Bigsby totaled 106 yards from scrimmage with a game-high 75 rushing yards on 16 carries and a career-long 31-yard reception. The former third-round pick finished the year with a PFF overall grade of 82.4 across 125 snaps. In the last four weeks of the regular season, Bigsby has seen an uptick in touches with 176 rushing yards on 39 carries. With the win, he and the Eagles secured the NFC’s No. 3 seed and will host the 49ers in the Wild Card round on January 11th.
Derrick Brown, DL, Carolina Panthers
Brown led the Panthers with a career-high 13 tackles in the regular season finale against Tampa Bay, marking his first double-digit tackle performance of the year and his first since Week 14 of the 2023 season. Brown’s 13 tackles surpassed his 12-tackle effort in week eight of the 2022 season for the most of his six-year career and were tied for the third most in the NFL in week 18. The 2025 team captain boosted both his PFF overall grade (74.5) and pass rush grade (72.0), which ranked 14th and 24th, respectively, among 134 interior defenders. With Atlanta’s win on Sunday, Brown will get his first postseason action as the Panthers clinched the NFC South and a playoff berth for the first time since 2017, drawing the No. 4 seed and a home game against the Rams in the Wild Card.
Daniel Carlson, K, Las Vegas Raiders
Carlson came through in the clutch for Las Vegas, drilling a career-long 60-yard field goal in the final second of the game to lift the Raiders over the Chiefs in the regular season finale. The eighth-year pro turned in a perfect outing, converting all four of his attempts from 32, 23, 55, and 60 yards. His game-winner marked his first career attempt from 60+ yards and is third-longest field goal in Raiders’ history. With Carlson’s first field goal of the game, he surpassed the 900-career point mark as a member of the Raiders. With 225 made field goals, Carlson ranks third in the NFL in field goals made since entering the league in 2018, and the 2022 All-Pro also ranks second in Raider’s history with 910 career points. He finished the season with 87 points, connecting on 22 field goals and 21 extra points, and now has a career field goal percentage of 86.9.

Jamien Sherwood, LB, New York Jets
Sherwood recorded seven tackles, including three solo stops, in the Jets’ regular season finale against the Bills to cap off an impressive season. After a breakout 2024 campaign in which he led the league in solo tackles (98) and finished tied for third in total tackles (158), Sherwood again ranked among the NFL’s most productive defenders this year as he finished tied for seventh in total tackles (154) and 14th in solo tackles (68). His 312 tackles the last two seasons are the second most in the NFL during the span. The former fifth-round pick improved his PFF overall grade to 65.0 and boosted his run defense grade to 80.5, which ranks 16th among 86 qualifying linebackers. The 2025 team captain led the Jets in tackles nine times this season and recorded eight double-digit tackling performances, both career bests.
Jaylin Simpson, S, Green Bay Packers
Seeing his first extended action of the season in just his second career game played, Simpson racked up eight total tackles and five solo stops in the Packers game against the Vikings. The former fifth-round pick tied for the team lead in solo tackles and finished tied for second in total tackles while logging 62 snaps. The second-year pro also helped the Packers’ defense hold the Vikings to just 25 percent efficiency in the red zone.
