AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn men’s tennis has signed Spanish talent Iker Urribarrens, head coach Bobby Reynolds announced on Tuesday. Urribarrens will join the Tigers' roster this month. 

“We are excited to welcome Iker Urribarrens to Auburn men’s tennis,” said Auburn head coach Bobby Reynolds. “Iker checks every box we look for as coaches. He has an outstanding personality, a strong desire to develop and a genuine commitment to being a great teammate.

“His professional experience and having reached the top 1,200 in the ATP rankings reflect both his competitive level and his understanding of what it takes to perform at a high standard. We believe Iker will be an important piece of our program as we continue pushing toward the top of college tennis.”

Urribarrens holds an ITF singles ranking of No. 921 and reached a career-high singles ranking of No. 160 in July 2024. Urribarrens reached an ITF Junior Ranking of 670 in January 2021 and won the doubles title at the J5 Honfleur in 2020. The Spaniard currently holds an ATP singles ranking of No. 1586 and has a career high of No. 1139.
