AUBURN, Ala. – Debuting with off-the-chart numbers, freshman infielder Haven Roebuck was selected as Softball on Sports Illustrated’s Co-Freshman of the Week on Tuesday.
Roebuck shared the honor with Michigan State’s Zoie Bernard.

The Winterville, North Carolina, native started all six games over opening weekend at third base for the Tigers. She posted a .450 batting average behind nine hits. Five of her nine hits went for extra bases as she totaled a .700 slugging clip. She scored seven runs and added eight RBI. Roebuck posted a .542 on-base percentage with help of four walks.
She either leads or is tied for the team lead in on-base percentage, runs scored, hits, RBI, doubles and walks.
Roebuck enters the second week of the season as the SEC leader in doubles with five. She ranks fourth nationally in the category. She also is tied for third in the SEC in hits, tied for sixth in RBI and tied for seventh in runs scored.
The true freshman has scored at least one run in all six of Auburn’s games while adding three multi-hit contests. Against Pitt, Roebuck recorded five RBI to become the first Tiger to recorded five or more RBI in a game since Kylie Brockman vs. Troy on March 5, 2025.
Opening Weekend on the Plains is set for Feb. 12-15 as the Tigers host the War Eagle Classic. The tournament begins on Feb. 12 as the Tigers take on Illinois at 5 p.m. CT on the SEC Network+. Auburn softball will honor the late Mike “Helmet Guy” Cooper as part of Thursday’s opener. Helemt Guy mini-helmets will be available for fans while supplies last.
