AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn gymnastics team comes in 17th after the sixth week of competition per RoadToNationals.com, having an average of 196.450.

Auburn scored a 196.275 vs. Kentucky last Friday and the team’s overall average stands eighth in the Southeastern Conference.

Oklahoma remains at the top this week with an average of 197.879. LSU moved to No. 2 with a 197.520 with Alabama closing in at No. 3 with a 197.435. UCLA (No. 4) and Florida (No. 5) round out Week 6’s  top 5.

Also in the top 25 from the SEC are Georgia (No. 6), Missouri (No. 7), Arkansas (No. 8) and Kentucky (No. 25).

Auburn’s vault team tied for 10th nationally  with an average of 49.195. Auburn’s beam team ranks 12th this week with an average of 49.145 and floor team is tied 11th with an average of 49.265. 

Individually, junior Julianne Huff ranks No. 22 in the all-around with a 39.308.  

Sophomore Marissa Neal is tied No. 22 nationally on beam with an average of 9.880. On floor, sophomore Sophia Bell is tied No. 29 nationally with an average of 9.885. 

Auburn has a busy weekend as the squad has two meets on the road. The Tigers first take on No. 2 LSU this Friday, February 13, in Baton Rouge. The meet is slated for 7:45 p.m. CT on SEC Network.

The team will then travel to Fort Worth, Texas for the Metroplex Challenge. Auburn will face off with No. 13 North Carolina, No. 21 NC State and Boise State on Sunday, February 15 at 7:15 p.m. CT in the Fort Worth Convention Center.
