AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn looks to make it three straight wins as the No. 2 Tigers are back in action this weekend, Feb. 14-15, in the Gator Invitational at the Mark Bostic Golf Course in Gainesville, Florida.

“A quick turnaround for us, but we’re excited for another chance to compete against some really stiff competition,” men’s golf head coach Nick Clinard said. “I have a ton of respect for what JC (Deacon) has done at Florida, so going head-to-head with a really strong Gators team on their home course, in addition to some other great programs, will only benefit us in our preparation for the postseason.”

Auburn rides into the weekend on the heels of a historic victory at the Amer Ari Invitational, where the team matched the NCAA scoring record at 77 strokes below par to win the event by 13 shots. The Tigers are set to start the same six who started last weekend in Hawai’i, in addition to sophomore Tyler Spielman.

For Saturday’s 36-hole action, the Tigers are set to play alongside No. 10 Florida and No. 12 Oklahoma State with the first tee time slated for 7:20 a.m. CT.

Also in the field are No. 20 Charlotte, No. 21 Notre Dame, Chattanooga, FAU, FGCU, Furman, Georgia Southern, Jacksonville, Liberty, Indiana, Penn State, UCF, USF and West Virginia.

This week marks Auburn’s 11th all-time appearance in the Gator Invitational, but it is just the fourth since the turn of the century. The Tigers have taken top honors on the Gators’ home course just once, in 2012, and have finished as the runner-up twice, in 2011 and 2021.

Auburn has had the low medalist in each of its last two trips to Gainesville. Dominic Bozzelli won as an individual in 2012, and Andrew Kozan won in 2021.

At last weekend’s Amer Ari, junior Jackson Koivun scorched his way to a sixth career win via a 25-under-par scorecard. In the win, he matched Jimmy Green’s (1989-92) program record for individual victories. Koivun’s next win will break the record.
