AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn freshman Charlotte Cantonis has been named SEC Freshman of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday. The honor marks Cantonis’ second of the season, as she also earned the distinction Nov. 5 following The Nanea Invitational.

Cantonis recorded the lowest 18-hole score at the 2026 Moon Golf Invitational, played Sunday through Tuesday at Suntree Country Club in Melbourne, Florida. The Auburn freshman carded a bogey-free 65 (7-under) in the second round Monday. The round marked her second 65 of the season, as she also fired an 8-under 65 earlier this year at the par-73 Nanea Golf Club.

The Tampa, Florida, native shot 216 (E) to finish tied for eighth and secure her fifth top-five finish of the 2025-26 season. Her performance helped the Tigers earn a team victory, shooting 857 (7-under) to win by three strokes. Over three rounds, Cantonis recorded 10 birdies and an eagle at Suntree Country Club.

Cantonis and the Tigers will return to action March 2-4 at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head, South Carolina. The tournament will be televised on Golf Channel.
