AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn senior Katie Cranston has been named SEC Co-Player of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday. Cranston earned her first such honor after capturing her first collegiate victory at the UCF Challenge presented by PDI on Jan. 27.
Cranston secured the one-stroke victory with consistent play throughout the event, firing a 3-under 69 in all three rounds. She tied for the most birdies in the field with 13 and played the par-5s at 6-under. Her 207 (-9) also marked a career-low 54-hole score.
The Auburn senior also led the Tigers to a team victory, as Auburn topped the 16-team field with a 24-under 840 at the event.
Cranston and the Tigers will return to action Feb. 15-17 at the Moon Golf Invitational at Suntree Country Club in Melbourne, Florida.
