BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Auburn sophomores Chris Rembert, Chase Fralick and Bub Terrell were named Preseason All-Southeastern Conference Thursday, as voted on by the league’s head baseball coaches.
Rembert was tabbed a first-team second baseman, while Fralick and Terrell earned second-team honors as a catcher and outfielder, respectively.
All three were named to the 2025 SEC All-Freshman Team after combining to hit .327 with 48 doubles, 19 home runs and 128 RBI while leading Auburn to the first home super regional in program history in their first year on the Plains.
In addition to the individual accolades, Auburn was picked by the league’s head coaches to finish fifth in the SEC, marking the program’s highest predicted order of finish since at least 2005.
Rembert, who has already been named Preseason First Team All-America by Baseball America, D1 Baseball and Perfect Game, returns as Auburn’s leading hitter after turning in a .344 average with 14 doubles, 10 homers and 46 RBI as a freshman. The Pensacola, Florida, native led the league with a .485 on-base percentage in conference games and ranked third with a .376 average. He went on to become Auburn’s first freshman to earn first or second team All-SEC honors since 2008 and was named First Team Freshman All-America by Baseball America, D1 Baseball and NCBWA.
Fralick, who was named a member of the Buster Posey Award Preseason Watch List Wednesday, is coming off a freshman season in which he hit .335 with 17 doubles and 41 RBI while starting 48 games behind the plate. In SEC games, Fralick upped his average to .343, good for seventh in the league, and tied for the team lead with eight doubles. As a freshman backstop, he turned in a .991 average behind the plate and caught eight would-be base stealers. The Peachtree City, Georgia, native earned First Team Freshman All-America honors from Baseball America, D1 Baseball and Perfect Game.
The Tigers’ third freshman to hit .300 or higher in 50 or more starts in 2025, Terrell collected 61 hits in 203 at-bats (.300) and matched Fralick with 17 doubles and 41 RBI. The Meridian, Mississippi, native saved his best for last as he was named the Auburn Regional MVP after going 8-for-11 (.727) with three doubles and eight RBI in three regional wins. Terrell was one of three Tigers – joined by Ike Irish and Cooper McMurray – to collect double digit multi-hit and multi-RBI efforts. He also excelled as the primary left fielder, committing just one error in 74 chances while registering one outfield assist.
The sophomore Preseason All-SEC trio and the rest of the Tigers begin the 2026 campaign with a three-game series vs. Youngstown State from Feb. 13-15 at Plainsman Park. A limited number of single game and mini plan or flex plan tickets remain available.
