WAIKOLOA, Hawaii — Auburn men's golf opened its spring season with a jaw-dropping 32-under-par performance Thursday in the opening round of the Amer Ari Invitational at Mauna Lani Golf Club.

The round set a new program record for 18-hole team team score, which was previously set at the same tournament two seasons ago. It's also the second-best round in NCAA history, trailing only Lipscomb's 33-under at the Streamsong Invitational in 2022.

The No. 5 Tigers lead the tournament by five strokes. Junior All-American Jackson Koivun leads the Orange & Blue lineup following a 10-under 62. He is in second and trails the leader by one.

Freshman Jake Albert carded an 8-under 64 as another heavy contributor. Behind Albert were juniors Cayden Pope and Josiah Gilbert at 7-under, sophomore Billy Davis at 5-under and individual player Logan Reilly at 3-under.
