AUBURN, Ala. – The No. 17 Auburn gymnastics team earned a berth into the NCAA postseason and is set to compete at the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional held April 1-5 in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
“The good news is that we’ve been there before and should be acclimated to the arena and we know our competition to a certain extent competing with two teams already in our first session,” head coach Jeff Graba said. “We should have confidence going into this meet as long as we take care of business.”
The Tigers will open up the meet in the NCAA Regional Second Round on Thursday, April 2 and will compete in the night session at 7 p.m. CT against No. 1 seed and host LSU, No. 4 seed Clemson and the winner of the play-in between Air Force and Nebraska.
“We’re really excited to continue on in the postseason,” junior Julianne Huff said. “We’ve competed in Baton Rouge already this year and this is a place we’re really comfortable with.”
The afternoon session of the second round will feature No. 2 seed Stanford, No. 3 seed Michigan, North Carolina and Utah State.
The top two teams from each of the two sessions on April 2 will advance to the regional final on Saturday, April 4.
The top two squads from the regional final and the top all-around competitor (who is not on an advancing team) from each regional will receive an automatic berth to the 2026 NCAA Championship, April 16-18, in Fort Worth, Texas. In addition, the top event specialist on each event who is not a part of the advancing team or all-around competitor will advance to the national championship in that event only.
