Three Tigers earn SEC Rider of the Month for March

Senior Caroline Buchanan, junior Avery Glynn and sophomore Ariana Marnell were named Southeastern Conference Riders of the Month in March, the league announced Tuesday.

AUBURN, Ala. – Senior Caroline Buchanan, junior Avery Glynn and sophomore Ariana Marnell were named Southeastern Conference Riders of the Month in March, the league announced Tuesday.

Buchanan was recognized for her efforts in Reining, picking up her first of the season and second of her career. Glynn secured recognition on the Flat for the second time this season and Marnell was honored in Fences for the first time in her career.

Buchanan picked up a Senior Day win against Texas A&M on March 7, scoring a meet-best 70.5 and defeating her opponent’s 68.25. She was awarded Most Outstanding Performer in Reining for her efforts and it was the third of the season for the Scottsdale, Arizona product. 

Glynn, of Petaluma, California, earned her 10th victory of the season on the Flat, besting her Aggie opponent with an 86.5-77.5 win. That score was a meet high and the junior was named MOP in the event for the fifth time this year.

Marnell and the Tigers closed out the meet with a sweep in Fences. The Las Vegas product earned her second Fences MOP of the year with an 88-84 victory, improving to 8-4-0 on the year.

Auburn is the No. 1 seed and host of the 2026 SEC Equestrian Championship, March 27-28. The two-day, three-meet tournament will be held at the Auburn University Equestrian Center and admission will be free.
