AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn men’s basketball team has earned the 12-seed in the 2026 SEC Basketball Tournament and will open action on Wednesday afternoon against No. 13 Mississippi State in Nashville.
Auburn and State will square off at approximately 2 p.m. CT on SEC Network, following the first game of the day between Kentucky and LSU at 11:30 a.m.
The winner of Auburn and Mississippi State will play fifth-seeded Tennessee on Thursday, and the winner of that will advance to the quarterfinals to play No. 4 Vanderbilt.
Auburn finished the regular season at 16-15 overall and 7-11 in the SEC. Mississippi State is 13-18 overall and 5-13 in league play. The Bulldogs defeated the Tigers 91-85 in Starkville back in February.
