RICHMOND HILL, Ga. – Auburn golf sensation Jackson Koivun won his 10th career tournament Tuesday at The Ford Collegiate to lead the top-ranked Tigers in a second-place showing.

Koivun found a new gear and birdied six of his final nine holes to force a playoff with Texas’ Christiaan Maas, who Koivun defeated with a birdie on the first playoff hole.

“All I can say is that I love to compete,” Koivun said. “I love to do whatever I can to get my name and that Auburn logo as high up the leaderboard as I can. I’m really happy with where we’re at heading into the postseason, and I know that all of us are going to give 110% as we chase down another national championship.”

The junior from Chapel Hill, North Carolina finished the week at 13-under-par, making just four bogeys and a field-leading 17 birdies. He’s now won five times in seven starts since January and is the 21st player in NCAA golf history to reach double-digit career wins, which is a list that includes the likes of Tiger Woods, Jon Rahm and Phil Mickelson.

Ultimately, Auburn finished runner-up to No. 4 Texas, which took home team honors at 43-under. The Tigers shot 32-under and picked up ranked wins over No. 7 LSU (-14), No. 19 Georgia Tech (-11), No. 23 Georgia (-7) and No. 16 Oklahoma (-4). Auburn improved to 53-17-1 (.761) versus ranked opponents this season.

“Five of six guys in the top 15 is pretty impressive,” Tigers head coach Nick Clinard said. “Tip of the cap to Texas, they played incredibly, but we’re taking away a lot of positives from this tournament too. We’re really happy with the work we’ve put in this season to be firing on all cylinders come postseason. From this point forward, rankings go out the window and championships are on the line.”

In addition to Koivun, Auburn landed four other men in the top 15. Junior Cayden Pope went 65-66-71 to shoot 8-under and tie for sixth, locking down his third top 10 of the spring. Sophomore Billy Davis broke through with his best spring outing, a 14th-place finish at 5-under-par, while junior Josiah Gilbert and freshman Logan Reilly finished one back of Davis at 4-under to tie for 15th

Freshman Jake Albert shot 2-over and tied for 36th.

Auburn now turns its eyes to the postseason with the 2026 SEC Championship slated for April 22-26 at Seaside Golf Club on St. Simons Island, Georgia.
