BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Jackson Koivun’s flashy individual win at The Ford Collegiate was more than enough to secure the junior another nod as the Southeastern Conference’s Golfer of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.

It is the fifth time this spring and the 14th time in Koivun’s career that he’s earned a weekly honor from the SEC.

At the Ford, Koivun shot 13-under-par with a field-leading 17 birdies, including six through his final nine holes, to force a playoff with Texas’ Christiaan Maas. Koivun birdied the first hole of the playoff to clinch his 10th career victory, becoming just the 21st man in NCAA golf history to reach double-digit wins.

Koivun joins the likes of Tiger Woods (11), Jon Rahm (11) and Phil Mickelson (16) in the 10+ win club. One more victory will tie the SEC wins record of 11, which is held by Ole Miss’ Braden Thornberry (2015-18).

Postseason action begins next week for Koivun and the top-ranked Tigers as they go for a second conference title in three years at the 2026 SEC Championship, set for April 22-26 at Seaside Golf Club on St. Simons Island, Georgia.
