MARIETTA, Ga. – Auburn head coach Bobby Reynolds will be inducted into the Sessions Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame, the Georgia Tennis Foundation announced this week. Reynolds and former professional Ansley Cargill will join the 78 current members of the prestigious hall of fame during an induction ceremony on Aug. 15.
Reynolds, a native of Acworth, Georgia, is one of the most accomplished players in Vanderbilt history and was inducted into its hall of fame in 2019. Reynolds was named SEC Player of the Year and the NCAA Most Outstanding Player in 2003 and earned two ITA All-America honors. He holds the Vanderbilt program record for career singles wins (99), single-season singles wins (46), career singles win percentage (.739) and single-season singles win percentage (.868).
As a professional, Reynolds appeared in 17 Grand Slam main draws in singles as well as 20 in doubles. He played 12 seasons of professional tennis, reaching the third round of the Australian Open in 2005 and Wimbledon in 2008. He also won the doubles title at the RCA Championships in 2006 and was named MVP of World TeamTennis in 2012.
Reynolds holds career-high ATP rankings of No. 63 in singles and No. 46 in doubles.
Since taking the head coaching job at Auburn in June 2016, Reynolds has led the program to four NCAA Tournament appearances and an SEC championship semifinal appearance. He has coached two doubles All-Americans, an NCAA singles qualifier in four seasons, as well as a doubles team that has qualified for the NCAA tournament every season since 2022.
