Auburn’s newest documentary is now streaming. Traditions: Eagle Flight is the fourth documentary from WarEagle+, putting a spotlight on one of Auburn’s most respected traditions.

“There’s a tribal aspect to college fan bases, and that’s an ancient mechanism to leverage,” said Chris Sabo, Auburn’s associate athletics director for creative storytelling and the documentary’s director. “The War Eagle battle cry dates back more than 100 years, and the eagle flight is a living personification of that heritage. This is a full-grown raptor with a 7-foot wingspan that has been specifically trained to circle a football field while a coliseum of supporters chants in unison. It’s as American as you can get, and people respond to that.”

“The goal of the ‘Traditions’ series is to give a creative treatment to reality while bringing life to the social customs that make Auburn unique,” Sabo added. “We hope people walk away from this series with a new understanding of how the most respected Tiger traditions began and evolved.”

Traditions: Eagle Flight is streaming exclusively on the WarEagle+ Content Network. Visit auburntigers.com/wareagleplus to sign up.
