AUBURN, Ala. – As friendly off the field as he is ferocious on it, former Auburn offensive lineman Jeremiah Wright uses a Southern expression to describe what he will bring to the National Football League.
“They’re fixing to get a dog,” Wright said. “Somebody who’s going to be a people mover, knock people off the ball, just be a bully.”
A two-year starter at right guard, the Selma, Alabama, native spent six seasons on the Plains, moving from defensive line to O-line and persevering through injuries and adversity.
“Somebody who didn’t quit, didn’t give up, stuck it through all my years here, had a lot of coaching changes,” Wright said. “To be able to deal with that, stick it out and be with my teammates and go through the ups and down and rough times, it means a lot.”
One of 14 former Tigers who participated in Auburn’s March 24 Pro Day, the 6-5, 331-pound Wright is projected to be selected Saturday on day three of the 2026 NFL Draft, potentially in the sixth round.
“It’s a dream come true,” Wright said. “Still working. Goal hasn’t been reached yet. I’m going to continue to keep striving for greatness and let everything else fall in place.”
After Keldric Faulk, Keyron Crawford and Connor Lew, Wright could be the next Tiger off the board.
Defensive lineman Bobby Jamison-Travis is another possible day three draftee. A trio of Wright’s fellow offensive linemen – Izavion Miller, Dillon Wade and Mason Murphy – also attended Pro Day and hope to be drafted or sign as free agents, another potential path to the pros.
Other Pro Day participants and NFL hopefuls include Jahquez Robinson, James Ash, Brandon Frazier, Jay Hardy, Reed Hughes and Justin Jones.
