AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn women’s tennis has been selected as the No. 2 overall seed in the 2026 NCAA Championship, the NCAA announced Monday. The Tigers will host the NCAA opening rounds Friday and Saturday at the Yarbrough Tennis Center.

Auburn will face Bryant, the regional’s 4-seed, in the first round Friday at 1 p.m. CT, while 2-seed Miami (FL) and 3-seed North Florida will face off Friday at 10 a.m. CT. The winners of each respective match will face off in a second-round match Saturday at 1 p.m. CT

“We are excited to host the opening rounds of the NCAA Tournament again,” Auburn head coach Jordan Szabo said. “It’s a great honor and not easy to do. Only 16 teams host, so we’re very excited about that. We get the opportunity to play in front of our home fans and our home environment, which is really special.

“To be chosen as the No. 2 overall seed is incredible. We’ve had such an amazing season with a lot of success and making a lot of history. We’ve given ourselves the upper hand by being able to host, but we need to get back to work and get ready to compete. We’ve had some awesome practices since coming back from the SEC championship and the girls are hungry to get out there Friday. We’re hoping for a great crowd at the Yarbrough Tennis Center to give us a home-court advantage until the final set.”

Auburn broke the program record for highest NCAA Championship seed, surpassing the previous record of No. 9 set last season. The Tigers earned the program’s 19th NCAA Championship bid after posting a 32-3 overall record and picking up a share of the SEC regular-season title with a 13-2 conference record. Auburn then won its first SEC tournament title, which propelled the team to No. 1 in the ITA National Team Rankings.

Friday will mark the fifth time the NCAA opening rounds have been held at the Yarbrough Tennis Center for the NCAA women’s tennis championship.

Admission to all three matches in the Auburn Regional at the Yarbrough Tennis Center will be free. Parking and other spectator information is available at AuburnTigers.com/MatchDay. Live video and live scoring of each match will also be available online at AuburnTigers.com.
