AUGUSTA, Ga. – Auburn junior Anna Davis carded an even-par 72 in the final round of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur on Saturday at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. Davis’ 54-hole total of 214 (-2) resulted in a tie for 19th place. She has now finished in the top 20 at the event in each of the last two years.
“It was a little scrappy,” Davis said of her final round. “I had a lot of good up-and-downs for par and just left a few putts out there that I should have made. It was a pretty up-and-down round with a lot of pars.”
Davis bounced back from a bogey on the first hole with a birdie on No. 7. She then saved par from the bunker on No. 9 to make the turn at even for the day.
After a bogey on No. 10, the Auburn junior made a long birdie putt on No. 11 and followed that with another birdie on No. 13 after hitting a close approach shot. Davis then bounced back from a bogey on the par-5 No. 15 with three consecutive pars to finish at even par.
“I feel like I always play 11, 12 and 13 pretty well,” Davis said of Amen Corner. “I don’t know why, but I like those holes a lot. I made a good putt on No. 11 and kind of needed one. Then 13 was a good one. I hit a good wedge shot in and made a good putt. Two good birdies.”
In Wednesday’s opening round at Champions Retreat Golf Club, Davis made two birdies on a pair of par 3s and posted a 1-under 71. On Thursday, Davis played steadily and stayed near the cut line before recording a birdie on the final hole to secure her spot in the final round.
Saturday marked Davis’ third appearance in the final round of the event. She won the tournament prior to her collegiate career in 2022 and finished tied for 11th in 2025. Auburn has had an active player reach the final round of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur in each of the last four years.
