AUBURN, Ala. – No. 7 Auburn women’s golf is set to begin its run at a national championship this week at the NCAA Simpsonville Regional at the University of Louisville Golf Club in Simpsonville, Kentucky. The 54-hole event will be played Monday through Wednesday, and the top five teams will advance to the NCAA Championship at the Champions Course at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.

“The main thing is that we just need to go in and think about winning the tournament,” Auburn head coach Melissa Luellen said. “Your whole season, no matter how well you’ve played or how poorly you’ve played, it all comes down to three days. For the teams that are in the five, six or seven spots, they have absolutely nothing to lose. We have to go in there thinking we only have one thing to do, and that’s win the tournament.”

The Tigers earned a bid to an NCAA regional for the 31st time in program history after winning five tournaments during the 2025-26 season, tying the program record for most in a season.

Auburn started the postseason with a strong showing at the SEC Championship, finishing the stroke-play portion in fourth place and earning two match-play victories to reach the championship match. Auburn has now been selected to participate in an NCAA regional for the ninth consecutive season the championship has been held.

The Tigers, the No. 2 seed, will be joined by No. 6 Arkansas, No. 8 Iowa State, No. 19 Ole Miss, Houston, Virginia Tech, Kansas State, Indiana, College of Charleston, Xavier, Western Kentucky and Murray State.

The Auburn lineup will feature the same players from the conference championship: Anna Davis, Charlotte Cantonis, Molly Brown Davidson, Katie Cranston and Carys Worby. Freshman Frances Brown will travel as a substitute.

The top five teams from each of the six regional sites will advance to the NCAA Championship at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. The 30 advancing teams will compete for the national title May 22-27.

The top individual from each site not on an advancing team will also earn a spot in the NCAA Championship.

Auburn will begin play at 7 a.m. CT off the first tee. Live streaming video of the NCAA Simpsonville Regional will be available at BabyGranadeGolf.com with a subscription, while live scoring will be available at scoreboard.clippd.com.
