CARY, N.C. – Sophomore catcher Chase Fralick has earned an invitation to the 2026 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team training camp featuring a collection of the premier non-draft-eligible players across the country.
Fralick will become Auburn’s second straight representative at the Collegiate National Team training camp after Chris Rembert earned the same opportunity and made the Collegiate National Team roster last summer.
In 54 games this season, Fralick has turned in a .319 average and leads Auburn in doubles (15) and total bases (124) while ranking second in home runs (14) and RBI (43), registering career bests in both latter categories. He has served as Auburn’s catcher in 44 of 55 games this season, and his 11 home runs as the catcher are the most since Casey Dunn homered 16 times from the position in 1999.
Behind the plate, the Peachtree City, Georgia native has turned in a .996 fielding percentage and has caught seven would-be base stealers. He was recently named one of 16 semifinalists for the Buster Posey Award.
The 2026 Collegiate National Team will be competing in the inaugural World Collegiate Baseball Championship from July 11-15 in Taichung City, Taiwan, and the final roster will be determined after a slate of exhibition games and the annual Stars vs. Stripes series.
A total of six exhibition games will take place June 27-29 in North Carolina and Virginia before the Stars vs. Stripes series from June 30-July 4 in Fayetteville, N.C. and Cary, N.C.
