AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn’s Billy and Freddy Blaydes have been named doubles All-Americans, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Tuesday. The pair becomes the first Auburn doubles team to earn All-America honors since Tad Maclean and Finn Murgett in 2022.

The two finished the season with a 21-14 overall record, including a 16-8 mark in dual matches and a 9-6 record in SEC play. The pair also made an NCAA Doubles Championship appearance after earning a bid through the ITA South Sectional.

The brothers recorded eight ranked doubles wins during the season, including a victory over No. 2 Petar Jovanovic and Benito Sanchez Martinez of Mississippi State.

Billy and Freddy Blaydes finished the season ranked No. 10 nationally in doubles by the ITA. Six Auburn doubles teams have now finished in the top 10 of the final doubles rankings in program history.

Criteria for ITA All-America singles honors include winning the ITA All-American Championship, advancing to the round of 16 at the NCAA Singles Championship or finishing in the top 20 of the final ITA Singles Rankings. All-America recognition is awarded to doubles teams that win the ITA All-American Championship, reach the NCAA Doubles Championship quarterfinals or finish in the top 10 of the final ITA National Doubles Rankings.
