LEXINGTON, Ky. – Junior shortstop Alyssa Hastings was selected to the 2026 SEC Softball Community Service Team, the league office announced Tuesday.

The SEC sponsors Community Service Teams for all 22 league-sponsored sports. The Community Service Team highlights one student-athlete from each school who gives back to their community through superior service efforts.

In her first season on the Plains, Hastings has made an immediate impact as one of the team’s leaders in community service. She not only participates in various outreach initiatives but also works with the coaching staff and her teammates to help coordinate and share opportunities to give back throughout the academic year.

One of her most impactful service experiences came through the CARE Humane Society. Hastings spent time socializing and walking dogs as they awaited adoption into their forever homes. Along with her teammates, she also volunteered with a local food pantry, stocking and preparing boxes to help provide meals for those in need during the holiday season.

Hastings and (14) Auburn open the 2026 SEC Softball Tournament at 10 a.m. CT against (11) Missouri. The contest is available on SEC Network.
