AUBURN, Ala. – Sophomore catcher Chase Fralick has earned Second Team All-America honors from Perfect Game, the publication announced Wednesday.
Fralick becomes Auburn’s 35th All-American in program history, including its second straight. He is the first primary catcher to earn All-America honors since Casey Dunn in 1999.
Fralick, who was previously named the first Buster Posey Award finalist in program history and earned ABCA All-Southeast Region honors yesterday, led the Tigers in numerous offensive categories including doubles (18), home runs (20), RBI (61), total bases (155) and slugging percentage (.649). He turned in a .314 average, totaling 75 hits, and scored 52 runs in a team-high 63 games played.
The Peachtree City, Georgia, native also starting 52 games behind the plate, turning in a .997 fielding percentage with nine runners caught stealing and a pickoff, and called pitches for the Southeastern Conference’s ERA leader with a 3.69 staff ERA.
After setting Auburn’s regional record with six home runs and 15 RBI in five games against Milwaukee, NC State and UCF en route to being named the Auburn Regional MVP, Fralick became the first catcher in program history to hit 20 home runs in a single season. He is the 10th player in program history to accomplish the feat.
This summer, the sophomore backstop will report to Cary, N.C. for the 2026 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team Training Camp from June 27-July 4. The Collegiate National Team roster will then compete in the World Collegiate Baseball Championship in Taichung City, Taiwan, from July 11-15.
