NORMAN, Okla. – Auburn’s Josiah Gilbert was named a PING Second Team All-American while Jake Albert was tabbed as an Honorable Mention All-American on Wednesday by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

It’s the second consecutive season Gilbert has been named a second-teamer. He joins Jackson Koivun as the Tigers’ two repeat All-Americans from last season.

This season, Gilbert pieced together a masterful resume, earning two wins and six top 10s while averaging a career-best 70.19 strokes per round over 43 rounds of competition. He closed the year on a heater, finishing top 15 or better in each of his final five starts, including a solo third finish at the 2026 NCAA Championship.

Gilbert was crucial in not only helping the Tigers clinch the No. 1 overall seed at last week’s championship but also in the title run that followed as the Millbrook, Alabama native secured the second of three points in Auburn’s quarterfinal match against No. 15 Stanford with a 3&2 win over the Cardinal’s Jay Leng as well as the second of five points in the Tigers’ rout of the defending champion, No. 5 Oklahoma State, in the semifinal, when he bested Ethan Fang 4&3.

Later this summer, Gilbert is set to suit up alongside Cayden Pope as he represents the United States for the second consecutive year at the Arnold Palmer Cup.

In his first season of college golf, Albert earned three top fives and seven top 20s in his 14 starts in the Orange & Blue. He averaged 70.67 strokes per round with 155 birdies and a team-leading six eagles.

The freshman was another dominant force in match play for the Tigers this season as he went 4-1 on the year, including an undefeated 3-0 streak at the NCAA Championship. He made waves with a commanding 6&5 defeat of Stanford’s Ethan Gao in the quarterfinals and followed it up with a 1-up win over the Cowboys’ Gaven Lane in the semis later that day.

In the championship match, Albert made quick work of Tyler Loree, winning 5&3 to secure Auburn’s first of four match-winning points.

Now with 45 total selections, 25 of the program’s All-American awards have come since head coach Nick Clinard’s arrival on The Plains in the fall of 2009.
