AUBURN, Ala. – Josiah Gilbert has been awarded College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Honors, CSC announced Tuesday.

The Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the course and in the classroom. To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.50 GPA, have a minimum of one year completed at their current institution and have played in at least 90% of their team's contests from the current season.

Gilbert, a rising senior studying communication, earned CSC honors with a 3.71 GPA. It is his second consecutive season as a CSC Academic All-District selection.

Athletically, Gilbert pieced together another showstopper season for the Orange and Blue. He picked up two wins, six top 10s and a career-best 70.19 scoring average. Gilbert shot 11-under to earn solo third and cement himself as Auburn’s low man at the NCAA Championship. He then earned massive match play points in the quarter and semifinals to see Auburn through to its second national title in three seasons.

The Millbrook, Alabama native added to his accolades this season as a First Team All-SEC and Second Team All-America selection. He finished the year ranked as the No. 7 player in the country by Clippd.

Gilbert was selected as finalist by the CSC committee and will advance to the Academic All-America ballot.
