AUBURN, Ala. – Jackson Koivun will play his first PGA Tour event as a professional this weekend when he tees off in the John Deere Classic, hosted by TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois.

Koivun announced earlier this month that he will not return to Auburn for his senior season of eligibility, opting to turn pro after three dominant seasons in the college game.

Two weeks ago, he finished tied for 23rd place and earned co-low amateur honors at the 2026 U.S. Open. He officially begins his professional career at 7:35 a.m. CT Thursday when he tees off hole 10 alongside Jordan Spieth and Ben Griffin.

In 10 prior starts, Koivun has made eight cuts. He kicked off a remarkable run on Tour with a 15-under, T11th performance at last season’s John Deere Classic. He rode the momentum from the low outing to a T6th at the ISCO Championship, a T5th at the Wyndham Championship and a T4th at the Procore Championship.

Television coverage of the 2026 John Deere Classic will be split between the Golf Channel and CBS. Exclusive streaming is available via ESPN+ and Paramount+.
