AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn men’s tennis has elevated Trey Morris to associate head coach, head coach Bobby Reynolds announced Wednesday. Morris has served as the Tigers’ assistant coach each of the last two seasons.

“I'm excited to announce Trey Morris' promotion to associate head coach for Auburn men's tennis,” said Reynolds. “This recognition is incredibly well deserved and reflects the tremendous impact he has had on our program since the day he arrived. Trey invests an incredible amount of time and energy in our student-athletes, not only helping them develop on the court, but mentoring them and supporting them in every aspect of their college experience.

“His passion for college tennis is evident in everything he does, from recruiting and player development to the countless behind-the-scenes responsibilities that help our program operate at a high level. Trey is deeply respected by our players and staff, and this promotion is a testament to the work, commitment and leadership he brings to our program every day. I'm excited to continue building Auburn men's tennis alongside him for years to come.”

During Morris’ first season on the staff in 2025, Auburn went 20-11 and reached the second round of the NCAA Championship. In 2026, the Tigers posted a 17-11 overall record and recorded five wins over top-25 teams, including a win over No. 7 LSU. The team also qualified for the NCAA Championship round of 32 in the NCAA Waco Regional.

Prior to his time on the Plains, Morris served as the head coach at Montana State, where he was named Big Sky Conference Coach of the Year in 2022 and won a conference title. Following his tenure with the Bobcats, Morris served as associate head coach at UAB before becoming head coach at Jacksonville State.

Morris played collegiate tennis for three seasons at Appalachian State. He and his wife, Katelyn, reside in Auburn and have three children: James, Mara and Sutton.
