AUBURN, Ala. – Yara Bartashevich has signed with Auburn women’s tennis, head coach Jordan Szabo announced on Tuesday. Bartashevich will join the Tigers for the 2026-27 season.

“Very excited for Yara to join us,” said Szabo. “She was one of the best junior players in the world and has found great success on the professional tour. She plays a top level in singles and doubles and we can’t wait for her to be a part of the team. A lot of trust has been put upon us to aid her development and we thank Yara and her family for that. Most importantly though, she’s a terrific young lady and she will fit the culture of our women’s tennis team perfectly.”

Bartashevich currently holds a WTA singles ranking of No. 517 and a WTA doubles ranking of No. 322. She reached career-high WTA rankings of No. 453 in singles and No. 312 in doubles. As a junior player, she reached an ITF Junior ranking of No. 12 and has won six ITF titles.

Bartashevich won the U12 and U14 European Championships, was a U18 European Championship bronze medalist and a Junior Billie Jean King Cup bronze medalist. She has made five singles appearances and five doubles appearances in junior grand slam events and reached the doubles semifinals at Roland-Garros in 2022.

“Joining Auburn is a great opportunity for me,” said Bartashevich. “I’m excited to work with the coaching staff, compete for one of the best college tennis programs and continue improving every day. I’m looking forward to meeting the team and representing Auburn on and off the court.”

Bartashevich was born in Moscow, Russia, and currently resides in Boulogne-Billancourt, France. She is a member of the French National Team.
