AUBURN, Ala. – Head Coach Steven Pearl has announced the addition of fifth-year guard Kolby King to the Auburn men’s basketball roster for the 2026-27 season.

King comes to Auburn via Utah State where he played last season and helped the Aggies to an overall record of 29-7 and an appearance in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. King played in all 36 games last year while averaging 19.2 minutes, 7.5 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.

“We are excited to welcome Kolby to the Auburn Family,” Pearl said. “Kolby is a tough, versatile, battle-tested guard who has proven he can impact the game in a variety of ways. He can score at multiple levels, create for his teammates, rebound his position and compete on both ends of the floor.

“He brings athleticism, experience and a proven ability to contribute in high-level environments. His production at Utah State this past season, along with his experience contributing to a winning team will fit well with our current rotation of guards. We look forward to welcoming Kolby to campus, getting to work with him, and watching him compete in an Auburn uniform.”

King began his career at St. John’s in 2022, then spent his sophomore year at Tulane where he averaged 10.4 points per game. He played for Bulter as a junior before joining Utah State last year.

King is now the ninth new player to join the Tigers, along with eight returners.

The Tigers begin the 2026-27 season on Oct. 14 with an exhibition game against Florida State in Birmingham.
