AUBURN, Ala. – Just two matches into her collegiate career, Auburn freshman Chloe Taylor has been named SEC Freshman of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Taylor started at center back in each of the Tigers’ first two matches of the season against No. 25 Clemson and Jacksonville State. The North Vancouver native helped Auburn record clean sheets against both opponents.

In Sunday evening’s match against Jacksonville State, Taylor found the upper corner for a goal in the 69th minute to help Auburn claim a 5-0 victory over the Gamecocks.

Taylor becomes the first Auburn player to be named SEC Freshman of the Week since Carly Thatcher on Sept. 13, 2021.
