AUBURN, Ala. – Auburn men’s golf’s Josiah Gilbert and Logan Reilly were named to the 2026-27 Fred Haskins Award presented by Stifel Preseason Watch List, the Haskins Foundation announced Thursday.
The 25-man watch list is composed of returning players who were major contributors in collegiate golf last season. The Fred Haskins Award is annually given to the top male U.S. collegiate D1 golfer as voted on by players, coaches, members of college golf media, and past Haskins Award winners.
Gilbert and Reilly helped guide the Tigers to their second NCAA championship in three years this past season.
Gilbert, a senior this season, is coming off a big year as he earned PING Second Team All-America, Golfweek Second Team All-America, PING All-Southwest Region and First Team All-SEC accolades as a junior. He finished this season as the No. 7 player in the country by Clippd and started in all 14 events for the squad, averaging a career-best 70.19 strokes per round.
During the 2026 championship run, Gilbert was the team’s low man in both the NCAA Regionals and NCAA National Championship. He went 2-1 in match play at the national tournament.
Gilbert, of Millbrook, Alabama, is set to represent Team USA at the Walker Cup next week, Sept. 5-6, at Lahinch in County Claire, Ireland.
Reilly, a sophomore for the Tigers this season, finished his first year on the Plains with a 70.84 stroke average and was placed on the SEC All-Freshman Team for his efforts. He finished the 2025-26 season undefeated in match play (5-0), including the clinching match-play win in Auburn’s national championship face off vs. UCLA.
Reilly is coming off a big summer as the Lovettsville, Virginia product reached the semifinals of the 2026 U.S. Amateur. He posted a 2-under 138 in the stroke play portion of the event and picked up three wins in match play to reach the semifinal.
Gilbert, Reilly and the Tigers kick off the 2026-27 season at the Inverness Intercollegiate in Toledo, Ohio, Sept. 13-15.
