AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn men’s golf team will enter the 2026-27 season ranked No. 3 in two preseason polls – Golfweek and by Golf Channel’s Brentley Romine. In addition, two Tigers were placed on Golf Channel’s preseason All-America list.
“We’re looking forward to defending our championship this year and showing that we’re still a strong contender for the national title,” head coach Nick Clinard said. “This team is full of veterans that know what it takes to win and we can’t wait to get started.”
Senior Josiah Gilbert and sophomore Logan Reilly were placed on the Golf Channel’s Preseason All-America list as both were on the first team.
The Tigers capped the 2025-26 with their second national title in three years and won five tournaments over the course of the season. The team also finished in the top 3 in all but two tournaments played last year.
Gilbert, of Millbrook, Alabama, returns as a second team All-American by PING and Golfweek and was also named First Team All-SEC. He finished out the postseason with top 7 finishes at SECs, regionals and nationals to guide the team to the national championship.
Reilly is set to start his second season on the Plains after a big finish to his freshman year as well as strong summer on the course. The Lovettsville, Virginia product went 3-0 at the NCAA Championship in match play and secured the title-clinching point for the Tigers. Over the summer, the SEC All-Freshman Team honoree reached the semifinals of the U.S. Amateur.
Auburn opens the 2026-27 season at the Inverness Intercollegiate in Toledo, Ohio, Sept. 13-15.
