AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn University women’s golf team is set to start its 2026-27 season ranked inside the top ten in multiple preseason polls. The Tigers were tabbed No. 8 in the nation by Golfweek and No. 9 according to Golf Channel.
Led by 12th-year head coach Melissa Luellen, Auburn will look to build on a season that featured a record-breaking six tournament wins last year.
The Tigers return Anna Davis, Molly Brown Davidson and Charlotte Cantonis from the five that started at the NCAA Championships in the 2025-26 campaign. Davis headlines the returners and is regarded as one of the top golfers in the country, having recently just been named one of 25 golfers to the Annika Award Watch List for the 2026-27 season. Davis carded the second lowest stroke average in school history last year (71.09).
Highly touted freshmen Zara Anand, Kallyn Black and Gia Raad also bolster a squad that finished 7th in the final Golf Channel poll in 2025-26.
“Our young ladies will use this preseason ranking as motivation,” said Luellen. “We have a very focused and talented squad, and I expect to see a lot of great gold this season.”
Auburn opens play next Monday, Sept. 7 at the Annika Intercollegiate in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
