AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn soccer team continues Southeastern Conference play against Ole Miss with first touch set for 6:30 p.m. CT on Friday at the Auburn Soccer Complex.
The last time out, the Tigers (4-1-3) battled No. 11 Alabama in front of 2,319, the second-largest crowd in Auburn Soccer Complex history. Auburn's backline has been stout, leading the SEC and tied for fifth in the country with just two goals allowed.
On the attacking end, the Tigers are one of just eight teams to generate 70 or more corner kicks this season, joined by just Vanderbilt in the SEC.
Ole Miss (7-2) fell to Mississippi State, 4-1, in its Southeastern Conference opener, being reduced to 10 players in the 69th minute after earning a red card. The Bulldogs won the Magnolia Cup for the seventh consecutive year, the longest winning streak by either side in the rivalry's history.
State scored three second-half goals for its highest scoring output against the Rebels in program history.
Auburn and Ole Miss battled to a 1-1 draw a season ago, with the Tigers ripping off an overpowering 28 shots, including 13 on goal, but were only able to put one chance away as Grace Ivey’s 7th-minute score was all the Tigers could muster.
In a tightly contested series dating back to 1995, the Tigers are 13-14-6 all-time against Ole Miss, and are unbeaten in the last three meetings between the two programs.

Admission to the match at the Auburn Soccer Complex is free, with Friday’s contest serving as Pixels on the Pitch (Videogame Night), and fans in attendance will receive a free Pixels on the Pitch Rally Towel while supplies last.
Beginning this season, personal coolers are permitted at the Auburn Soccer Complex, but only people 21 and older may consume alcohol.
