AUBURN, Ala. – Returning to Ontario as defending champions, the No. 8 Auburn women’s golf team is set participate in the Canadian Collegiate Invitational Sept. 21-22 at Beacon Hall Golf Club in Aurora, Ontario Canada.
The Tigers claimed Canadian Collegiate Invitational title in 2025 as the first of four team victories last season.
Four of Auburn’s five golfers in the lineup this week participated in this event last season with all four placing inside the top 20, led by Anne Fernandez’ third-place finish.
Anna Davis headlines a lineup this week that also consists of Molly Brown Davidson, Charlotte Cantonis, Fernandez and freshman Kallyn Black who is making her collegiate debut in place of Balma Davalos who will miss this tournament due to injury. Frances Brown will also participate as an individual.
The two-day tournament features 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday.
Auburn is one of 11 teams in the field which also includes Michigan, Maryland, Tennessee, Virginia, UCLA, USF, UTSA, Kent State, UNC Wilmington and the University of British Columbia.
Along with these six playing in Canada, the Tigers will also send Gia Raad, Zara Anand and Kate Barber to the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational hosted by the University of Kentucky. These three will play as individuals which is also scheduled for Sept. 21-22.
“We return to Canada as defending champions and are excited to defend our title,” Head Coach Melissa Luellen said. “Unfortunately, Balma will not be traveling as she had a flareup from an old injury. Freshman Kallyn Black will play in her first college tournament which is exciting. The course is beautiful and we are looking for to cooler temperatures.
“Three players are headed to Lexington with Coach CJ to compete as well. It’s exciting that everyone gets to compete and see where they stack up. Competition really shows you where your strengths are and where you need to improve.”
