AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn soccer is back on the road to continue SEC play with a pair of matches at Missouri on Thursday at 6 p.m. and Arkansas on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. CT.
Auburn (5-1-3) got back in the win column after a 3-0 victory against Ole Miss Friday night with goals by Gracie Brown in the 30th minute, Grace Ivey in the 36th minute and Kennedy Husbands in the 56th minute.
Auburn recorded its seventh clean sheet this season after shutting down the Rebels' offense, limiting them to no shots on goal.
Fans can stream both games live on SEC Network+. Live stats also will be available at AuburnTigers.com.
“I have a ton of respect for coach Stefanie Golan and how she manages her program,” head coach James Armstrong said. “Missouri has always been a very different and difficult place to play.”
In its most recent match, Missouri (3-5-1) fell to Kentucky 2-1 at home last Friday night. The Wildcats secured an early lead with a goal by Nadia Ramadan in the 11th minute, and Kyla Dawn sealed the deal for Kentucky with a goal in the 76th minute. Despite a late goal by Rylie Morse in the 88th minute, it was not enough to tip the scales in favor of Missouri.
Missouri currently leads the series, 5-4-2, against Auburn. In last season's matchup between the Tigers in Auburn, the game ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
“We have the Razorbacks on Sunday. Anyone that follows SEC soccer knows that they're consistently at the top”, Armstrong added. “We all know that they are the same Arkansas as they always are. They are very competent at what they do, and they understand their identity and they do it very well.”
In its latest outing, Arkansas (3-4-1) suffered its first SEC loss to No. 10 Alabama Friday night. The Crimson Tide found the back of the net with a goal in the 34th minute by one of the SEC's top scorers, Larkin Thomason. Alabama doubled its lead in the 74th minute with a corner-kick goal by Reece Ward and forced Arkansas' goalkeeper Keegan Smith to make six saves, marking a season-high.
Auburn will visit Fayetteville, Ark., for the first time in four years to battle the Razorbacks. In 2023, the Razorbacks tallied a 4-0 victory against Auburn in Pensacola, Fla., and evened the series record at 16-16-2.
