AUBURN, Ala. – The No. 1 Auburn men’s golf team will compete at the prestigious East Lake Cup, Oct. 26-28, at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. The tournament will feature the final four teams from last season’s NCAA Championship.

“Being in this tournament is such a privilege and a great opportunity,” head coach Nick Clinard said. “This is a chance for us to make a statement and show that we’re still among the best in the country. We’re looking forward to a great week of golf not far from home.”

TOURNAMENT FACTS
The East Lake Cup will be held on the par 72, 7,255-yard East Lake Club in Atlanta.

The tournament features the final four teams from last year’s NCAA Championship – No. 1 Auburn, No. 3 Oklahoma State, UCLA (RV) and Arizona (RV). The four squads will compete in a single stroke-play round Monday, which will determine the seedings for match play that being Tuesday.

The winners of Tuesday’s matches will face off in Wednesday’s championship match. The losing teams will also play, going head-to-head in a consolation match.

AUBURN LINEUP
Auburn’s lineup features four of the five starters in last year’s national championship run in seniors Josiah Gilbert and Cayden Pope and sophomores Jake Albert and Logan Reilly. Junior Billy Davis, the 2026 alternate, will also go for the squad this week.

Gilbert is coming off a big win at the Williams Cup, taking the crown by a stroke with an 8-under 208 (71-69-68). His three rounds were all under par and his final round of 4-under 68 set a season low. He was named SEC Co-Golfer of the Week for his efforts.

Davis is one of the best on the team in stroke average with a 72.0 over nine rounds played. Reilly is next with a 72.22 and both have two Top 25 finishes on the year.

The start will be the fourth for Pope and second of the year for Albert.
