AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn University men’s basketball program concludes its preseason slate on Thursday night, Oct. 29, with an exhibition game at home against in-state foe Samford. Tipoff at Neville Arena is set for 7 p.m.

The Samford game is the first of four-straight contests inside Neville Arena for the Tigers as AU opens the season with Southeastern Louisiana (Nov. 4), Appalachian State (Nov. 9) and No. 5 Arizona (Nov. 13) at home.

Thursday’s game will not be televised or streamed and the only way to watch the Tigers is to be inside Neville Arena. Tickets are still available by clicking here.

Fans can listen to the game locally on 94.3 FM and on the Auburn Tigers app with Andy Burcham and Randall Dickey on the call. Postgame press conferences and highlights will be posted to War Eagle+ following the contest.

The Tigers look to build momentum heading into the regular season after dropping its first two exhibition games against Florida State and Alabama.

In the 87-85 loss to Alabama, Kevin Overton led all scorers with 26 points and made six 3-pointers. Overton is coming off a season in which he made 95 3-pointers (seventh most single season triples in school history) and scored 20 or more points in seven of his final 11 games.

The Tigers also received increased production from their pair of 7-foot centers Narcisse Ngoy and Bukky Oboye against the Tide. These two combined to score 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting and each grabbed eight rebounds. With their size and length down low, these two form a rotation that should re-establish the Tigers as one of the best rim protecting teams in the nation like AU teams in the past decade have become known for.

The Jungle, who helped Auburn play to a home record of 14-4 last season and 126-18 dating back to the start of the 2017-18 season, is encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to Thursday night’s game.
