AUBURN, Ala. – With the 2026-27 season less than a week away, the Auburn University men’s basketball team looks to add to a dominant run for the program over the last nine years.
Dating back to the start of the 2017-18 season, the Tigers have been one of the premier programs in the country. During that span, Auburn has:
- 224 wins – The second most wins of any SEC team during that span, and only two behind Tennessee (226).
- An average of 24.9 wins per season.
- Advanced to two Final Fours – one of seven teams in the nation to reach multiple Final Fours during that span, along with Duke, Houston, Kansas, Michigan, UConn and Villanova.
- Won six championships:
- SEC Regular Season: 2018, 2022, 2025
- SEC Tournament: 2019, 2024
- NIT Championship: 2026
- Produced seven NBA draft picks:
- Johni Broome (2025), Walker Kessler (2022), Jabari Smith (2022), Sharife Cooper (2021), JT Thor (2021), Isaac Okoro (2020), Chuma Okeke (2019).

Headlined by the backcourt of Tahaad Pettiford and Kevin Overton, the Tigers are poised for another big year on the Plains, which kicks off next Wednesday, Oct. 14 with an exhibition game against Florida State in Birmingham. Auburn’s first official game comes at Neville Arena on Nov. 4 against Southeastern Louisiana.
