Entering his eighth season as the Voice of the Auburn Tigers in 2026-27, Andy Burcham serves as the play-by-play voice for Auburn football, men’s basketball and baseball.

The 2027 baseball season will be Burcham’s 33rd in the press box at Plainsman Park. Burcham and his predecessor, Rod Bramblett, teamed up for 25 seasons from 1995-2019. 

In addition to his play-by-play duties, Burcham co-hosts Tiger Talk each week on the Auburn Sports Network while also hosting the weekly Talking Tigers podcast on WarEagle+. He also hosts weekly shows for Auburn Athletics teams during their seasons. 

Prior to becoming Auburn’s lead announcer in 2019 following Bramblett’s passing, Burcham served 31 years as the play-by-play voice for Auburn women’s basketball.

The Alabama Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame inducted Burcham in its Class of 2026. In 2021, Burcham was voted Alabama’s sportscaster of the year by members of the National Sports Media Association. 

Burcham came to Auburn after working for 12 years at Auburn Network, Inc. He was station manager for WANI Radio and served as host for the ABBY award-winning Auburn-Opelika This Morning. Burcham also worked for Tiger Communications and Fuller Broadcasting in Alabama after beginning his career at WCIL Radio in Carbondale, Illinois, and WMLA Radio in Bloomington, Illinois.

A native of Nashville, Illinois, Burcham received a bachelor's degree in radio, TV & film from Indiana State University in 1983. Burcham lives in Auburn with his wife, Dr. Jan Gunnels Burcham, the associate dean for the College of Education and Health Professions at Columbus State University.
