Education: Addison completed her Masters of Public Health in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Michigan in 2016 and went right into her dietetic internship in Ann Arbor, finishing in January 2017. She also received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan in Kinesiology, graduating in 2013.
Job Responsibilities: Addison is serving as the dietitian for the men’s and women’s tennis, track and field, and golf teams. She uses group education activities and individual counseling sessions to improve nutrition knowledge. In addition to individual counseling, she plans hydration testing, recipe demonstrations, body composition testing, grocery store tours, and team talks.
Past Experience: Addison worked as a volunteer coach for Michigan cross country/track and field teams from 2014-16, solidifying her desire to work with collegiate athletes. During her dietetic internship, she completed a 3-week rotation with the dietitians at Michigan. After becoming an RD in February 2017, she worked at a fitness center in Ann Arbor, where she provided nutrition counseling and nutrition seminars for members.
