Candice Jackson, a 20-year coaching veteran with experience at the highest levels, joined the Auburn women's basketball staff on April 18, 2025.

Jackson joins the Tigers’ staff after spending the last two seasons as an assistant coach at VCU.

Jackson boasts more than 20 years of Division I coaching experience with assistant coaching stops at Duke, Wake Forest, Buffalo and Richmond, along with a stint as Director of Recruiting at her alma mater, Michigan State.  She also served five seasons as head coach at the College of Charleston from 2014-19.

She helped lead Duke to back-to-back NCAA Elite Eight appearances in 2012 and 2013 and helped the Blue Devils land the nation’s second-ranked recruiting class in 2013.  

During her career, she has worked with 12 McDonald’s High School All-Americans, two WNBA First-Round draft picks, two USBWA All-Americans and three AP All-Americans.

Prior to Duke, Jackson spent two seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Wake Forest. There, she aided in the signing of the program’s first Top 100 signee and mentored two All-ACC selections. Jackson also helped lead the Demon Deacons to an 18-14 overall record and WNIT appearance in 2009-10.
 
Jackson spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Richmond prior to Wake Forest where she helped take the team from a 13-17 record in 2005-06 to a 24-10 record and WNIT berth in 2008-09. 

A native of Lansing, Michigan, she was a four-year letterwinner at Michigan State and was team captain as a junior and senior. She served as a graduate assistant for the 2004-05 team that finished as national runner-up, defeating No. 1 Tennessee in the Final Four.
