Education: Carolyn Burroughs earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Accounting from Auburn University in 1990. She later completed her Master of Accountancy from Auburn in 2022 and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Job Responsibilities: As Assistant Athletics Director for Foundation Finance with the Tigers Unlimited Foundation, Burroughs supports the Chief Financial Officer in matters related to finance, tax compliance, and budgeting. Her responsibilities include coordinating the annual external audit engagement and preparing financial statements and reports for presentation to the Tigers Unlimited Foundation Board of Directors and Audit Committee.
Experience: Burroughs returned to Auburn in 2016, beginning her tenure with the College of Agriculture before transitioning to Auburn Advancement as Assistant Director of Advancement Finance. In that role, she oversaw financial reporting and operations for both the Auburn University Real Estate Foundation and the Auburn Alumni Association. Prior to her return, she built a diverse career as a CPA, gaining extensive experience across a variety of business and financial sectors.
Personal: Originally from Florence, Alabama, Burroughs was raised in Nashville, Tennessee. After spending time in Georgia and South Carolina, she returned to her happy place—Auburn—in 2016. She is married to Scott and has two grown children, Marshall and Anna.
